Prescription Radiation Protection Glasses

Description

Phillips Safety Products offers a full line of prescription safety glasses.  All of their standard radiation glasses listed on this website (except for Wiley X's) are available in prescription.

The part number system works off the part numbers listed for the standard (non-prescription) radiation glasses.  You simply take the part number for the glasses you want and add the appropriate prescription code to the end of it.

Codes:

SV - for single vision prescription in that frame

FT28 - for a lined bifocal prescription in that frame

PROG - for a progressive (no line) bifocal prescription in that frame

Additional information about prescriptions:

Single Vision (SV) Prescription Radiation Glasses

Single vision prescription radiation glasses offer a single prescription throughout the whole lense.  This type of prescription has no bifocal or additional power for reading added into it.  The single vision prescription glasses feature standard 0.75mm lead equivalency Schott SF-6 HT radiation safety glass lenses.

Lined Bifocal (FT28) Prescription Radiation Glasses

Lined bifocal prescriptions offer distance correction on the top of lens and near, or reading, correction on the bottom of the lens.  The two areas are separated by a line.  The reading area is a semicircle with a flat part on top (Flat-Top) that is 28 mm wide, which is where the FT28 comes from.  The FT28 prescription glasses feature our standard 0.75mm lead equivalency Schott SF-6 HT radiation safety glass lense.

Progressive No-Line (PROG) Bifocal Presciption Radiation Glasses

Progressive prescriptions offer distance correction on the top of the lens and near, or reading, correction on the bottom of the lens.   The two areas are separated by a corridor which progressively increases the reading, or near prescription strength as you look down the lens, allowing you to have intermediate correction between the distance correction and the near correction.  This also makes the bifocal nature of the lens invisible; there is no line.  Our progressive prescription glasses feature our 0.75 mm lead equivalency Schott SF-6 HT radiation safety glass lenses.
