Q.  Why are there different foil thicknesses for your QA Test Patterns ?

A.  Our test patterns are offered in different foil thicknesses as different applications are more suited to a certain thickness of lead.

For example:

0.1mm foils are typical for fluoroscopy

0.05mm are typical for digital imaging

Thinner foils e.g. 0.02 and 0.03mm are typical for mammography (usually when a higher spatial frequency is necessary e.g. 20LP/mm – can’t be manufactured in thicker lead)

However, please note that this is just a rough guide and the choice of test pattern depends on the specific application and customer preference.
